For the past 70 glorious years, Horwich Amateur Theatre Society has been wowing audiences, bringing some of the biggest musicals to life on stage. This included being the first amateur society in England to perform In the Heights, back in 2017 and being NODA North West winners of Best Musical for Rent in 2018. In 2024, our Anniversary production "70 the HATS way" and the sold out production of "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert" received rave reviews from both Noda and the audience alike.
HATS are an inclusive, welcoming society with a passion for theatre presenting up to three shows a year, including performing each year at Showcase at The Lowry, Manchester.
We are proud to be a part of Noda, who share our values in local, inclusive theatre for the community.
We are always on the look out for new members. Whether you are a musically seasoned pro or wanting to dip your toes in for the very first time, we would love for you to come and join us. It doesn't matter if you wish to work with us on stage or backstage, our doors are open to you.
Our next production of the "Witches of Eastwick" is taking place in 2025 at the Peace Community Theatre, Rishton Lane, Bolton from the 9th - 12th April. We are currently starting casting for this show. More details can be found on our Facebook page. Tickets are also on sale via the link above.
Rehearsals take place on a Monday and Wednesday evening at Bolton Arena, Arena Approach, Bolton from 7.30pm until 9.30pm.
